HS Testing Reminder:
This is a reminder that tomorrow, April 10, all juniors will be taking the WorkKeys exam and all Freshmen will be taking the PSAT 9. All busing is running at normal times, however, ONLY 10th and 12th grade students are to stay home. This is a Virtual Day! This means students must check their email and Google Classroom for classwork. Freshmen will be released after testing is completed which will be about 10:30-11AM! Junior's test is longer and will be released around 11am. Please have a plan for pick up. Students will not have access to phones during testing so it is very important that you do not contact your student during that time. All testing this week is a Michigan State requirement for graduation, so your student's performance and attendance is very important to us. This test is online and students will need to bring their assigned Chromebook to school with a full charge. It is important to make sure if your student is testing that they are well rested and have a healthy breakfast to start their day. We thank you for all your help in making this testing experience a good one. We will return to business as usual on Friday!
HS TEST SCHEDULE FOR Wednesday April 9, 2025 -
All students will be reporting to school however THERE IS NO career center. Juniors are the only grade testing tomorrow while the other students attend classes as normal.
Junior Career Center students will report to testing rooms at 7:30 to begin testing. All career center seniors should report to school at the beginning of 4th period. All Juniors that do not attend the career center will test in the afternoon beginning at 11:45AM (after 1st lunch). They should be attending their am classes.
This test is ALSO online and students will need to bring their assigned Chromebook to school with a full charge. It is important to make sure your student is well rested and has a healthy breakfast to start their day. Thank you for your continued support.

Attention ALL HS Napoleon Families -
In preparation of State testing next week, the high school will be having a Digital Readiness Check tomorrow, April 3rd, during 5th period. All 9-11 graders will report to their assigned testing room and will need their CHARGED CHROMEBOOK to complete the digital readiness check as well as exam set-up. ALL SENIORS should attend as well with their charged Chromebook! During that time we plan to have Jorge Rodriguez here to help students complete their senior exit surveys, finish the Sigmund Scholarship application, and answer any questions seniors may have regarding their next steps.
It is critical that your student be here not only for the check tomorrow but also next week during testing. You should have received a letter from Kim King on Feb. 27 giving the details of all testing days. All testing next week is online and we must check that student's Chromebooks are ready.
Please contact Kim King if you know any Chromebook issues. These need to be reported and fixed before test day.

ATTENTION CAREER CENTER STUDENTS:
JACC will be starting a huge campus renovation and site work, which will have a direct impact on students arriving and departing from the Career Center. Essentially, all arrivals and departures will take place in the student parking lot (Lot E) starting on May 13th. They will be splitting the parking lot to keep separation between busses and cars to avoid any potential incidents.

Happy World Down Syndrome Day! Staff and students wore crazy socks to support Jax Shell! Miss Pence also collected over 170 pairs of CHILDREN'S SOCKS to DONATE to Mott Children's Hospital.
Attention Students that began College Classes today!
You have until WEDNESDAY THIS WEEK or PRIOR if you are leaving early for Spring Break to drop your class without penalty if you have looked over the syllabus and the course content and just feel like it is not a good fit for you.
Mrs. King is here today and tomorrow for college needs and Jamie Witt will be here Wednesday for assistance.
If there is anything that happens after that you will have to contact the Director, Jean Logan, for assistance.

**Explore 40+ Colleges at Free Fair for Jackson-area Students**
A “College Connection” fair is planned from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Northwest High School, 4200 Van Horn Road in Jackson. Though hosted by Northwest Community Schools, the fair will be open to anybody of any age or school district who applies. This free event will give both students and parents a chance to engage with dozens of colleges, trade schools and other post-secondary options.
The Jackson County Health Department will be conducting vision testing to all NHS 9th grade students on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. If you wish to opt out of the screening, you will need to provide a signed letter from the student's parent/guardian to the high school office.
