Celebrating our retirees

Napoleon High School is saying farewell and good luck to four of our staff members this year. Retiring this 2023/2024 school year are Carl Bunker, Robin Kenel, David Lawrence, and Candice McDevitt. These individuals have been staples in our building for many, many years. We wish them nothing but the best of everything in their next chapter. We will miss them and hope they stop by to visit!

Carl Bunker has served in the Mathematics department at NHS for 30 years. He has served as Math Department Chair, AP Calculus teacher, football and wrestling coach, and the all-around go-to person in emergencies.

Robin Kenel has served in the front office as a secretary at NHS for 27 years. She has been the main office secretary, who's behind-the-scenes work has ensured the smooth operation of our school.

David Lawrence has served in the Social Studies department at NHS for 29 years. He has served as social Studies Department Chair, dedicated teacher, and coach.

Candice McDevitt has served in the ELA department at NHS for 30 years. She has served as ELA Department Chair, School Improvement Chair, a leader in instruction and curriculum development, and National Honor Society Advisor.

Their leadership, dedication, and contributions have left an indelible mark on our school community, and they will be greatly missed.

THANK YOU for everything you’ve done for the staff, the kids, our school, and our community.
