Guided by our focus to present parents with a viable education plan for students while centering on the health and safety of the Pirate community as a whole, the proposed NCS Return to Learn 2020-2021 plan has been established utilizing the government and public health directives currently in place. In order to ensure student safety we will be flexible, while following the MI Safe Schools: Michigan’s 2020-2021 Return to School Roadmap and adjusting to any factors that may necessitate changes throughout the school year. Understandably, we are receiving many questions and concerns about operations for the upcoming school year. It is our hope that this information will help to outline our new normal and provide some guidance. The NCS Return to Learn Plan has been created with an approach designed to allow us the capability to adjust our teaching and learning framework in response to any MI Safe Start phase changes that may occur.

We will communicate more information before the start of the school year about the implementation of the approved RTL plan and upcoming developments. Over the next week you should expect information on topics such as RTL frequently asked questions, school supply lists, kindergarten walk through, student material/ppe distribution schedules,  6th grade orientation, 9th grade orientation, etc.

The NCS Return to Learn 2020-2021 Plan Information/ Resources web area is currently under construction. Found on the main page of the NCS website this area will be used to share valuable information with Pirate families and as a reference should families wish to review previously shared information.
