Día de muertos (Day of the Dead) in Spanish Class

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and other countries in Latin America on November 1 and 2. It celebrates family members, friends, and pets who have died. While it may sound spooky, the day is actually similar to our Memorial Day. People create ofrendas with pictures and favorite things of those who have passed.

Pirate Middle and High Schoolers created sugar skulls and decorated an ofrenda in the Middle School cafeteria with pictures and items of family members that have died.

El Día de muertos es muy interesante!  (The Day of the D is very interesting!)
