SIGNED LETTER FROM SUPERINTENDENT HERE

November 17, 2021

Good Afternoon Pirate Families,

With the holiday season fast approaching we wanted to review some of the things we are currently doing here at Napoleon Community Schools to address COVID-19 concerns.

While we are certain we will not answer every question or alleviate every concern, we do feel it is important to remind our families that we will continue to keep our staff and students best interests at the center of our decisions.

Currently, every building maintains COVID-19 positivity records, contact traces and notifies families/ local health authorities as required when a school associated case arises. Heightened cleaning protocols remain in place and families are encouraged to monitor the health of their students closely.

The district will continue to monitor our grade level, building, and district level COVID-19 positivity rates over a 10 day period; utilizing rates of transmission, data numbers and core indicators to determine our strategy levels. Plans are already in place for higher levels of risk if required including but not limited to more strict quarantine guidelines, class cohorting, and a transition plan to virtual learning if necessary.

We encourage you to contact your building administrators with questions or concerns and remind you that the situation is ever changing. We will continue to provide updates as they become available. We will make every effort to do what is best for our staff and students.

Best Regards,

James E. Graham

Superintendent
