On Monday, January 22nd the Board of Education recognized Tractor Supply Company for their generosity and support of the Ackerson Lake High School Agri-Science Grow and Show program.

Earlier this year Ackerson Lake teacher, Mr. Phil Jordon connected with local Tractor Supply store managers, Chriss Adams and Brent Bartholomew sharing what Ackerson Lake students are doing and learning with their greenhouse garden. Showing great interest, they generously donated numerous boxes of garden seeds to the program.

Again, just before Christmas they donated numerous boxes of bulbs and additional garden seeds.  Tomato cages were sold to the program at cost and many pallets for shelving in the greenhouse were given to the program.  Over the past year Tractor Supply Company has allowed Ackerson students and staff to use the store as a selling venue for fundraisers allowing them to sell salsa and poinsettias on several different occasions.

These managers and the company have always offered the program whatever is needed and done what they could to help us as we continue to educate students through hands on learning. Napoleon Community Schools, Ackerson Lake High School Staff and our students appreciate the Tractor Supply Company and these gentlemen for their continued support.
