American Cancer Society Mini-Relay for Life Information

Each year NCS Ezra Eby Elementary Staff and Students hold their annual Mini-Relay for Life in May. The below letter will be sent home with Eby students this week with details regarding fundraising and their goals. If you don’t have an Eby student but would still like to contribute you may do so by sending your donation in an envelope marked “Eby Relay for Life” to any NCS Office or by mailing your check payable to American Cancer Society to the address below by May 14th, 2018. All money collected goes directly to the American Cancer Society.

Dear Ezra Eby Families and Friends,

We are beginning our annual collection for the American Cancer Society Mini-Relay for Life on May  7, 2018.  Our goal is to surpass the $1, 000 mark through the sale of footprint cards purchased for $1.00 at lunch times.  These are displayed in our cafeteria hallway. Students may sell the attached footprints for $1 each and return them to school by May 14th,  2018.

There are so many families and friends that are touched by this disease.  Our students feel they are helping to find a cure for those afflicted by cancer when they do their part in raising needed funds.  We realize that expenses are great during this time for all of our families. Finding creative ways for your child to earn a couple of dollars, such as collecting and returning pop cans/bottles  is an easy way for them to participate. Perhaps there are other members of your family who would be interested in helping out, also. Donations will be accepted at a table outside the cafeteria during all lunch hours.  If you would like to send a check, please make it payable to the American Cancer Society.  All money collected goes directly to the American Cancer Society.

Our Mini-Relay for Life will take place on Friday, May 18th  at 2:30 p.m. at the track behind Eby.  If you (or a member of your family) are a cancer survivor and would like to be honored in the first lap of the walk, please fill out the attached form and return it to your child’s teacher no later than Monday, May 14th,  so that a list of walkers can be formulated.  Registrations cannot be accepted after Monday, May 14th.  We invite anyone who is interested to come and join us at the track.  You will be inspired by our caring student body at Napoleon. Once again, thank you for helping those who need a cure!
